About This Spot

Stepping into De Guzman Oriental Food Mart, you immediately sense a humble, bustling corner where flavors and daily rhythms meld effortlessly. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down just enough to appreciate the simple joy of a hearty, familiar meal and the tangible threads of community woven through its shelves and savory aromas.

Though modest in size, the store pulses with a quiet energy—a crossroads of convenience and tradition. The space carries the warmth of home-cooked meals shared between friends and family, made visible in the ready-to-eat trays stacked behind the counter. Here, the comfort of classic Filipino dishes meets the practicality of a local market, inviting you to pause, choose, and carry a piece of shared heritage with you.

The pace tends to be easy, yet purposeful, with visitors popping in for a quick bite or to pick up authentic staples that might be hard to find elsewhere. There’s a noticeable earnestness in every interaction, a feeling that this is more than a stop on your day—it’s a checkpoint in a wider cultural story. Patrons often find themselves lingering a little longer, deciding what to take away or just soaking in the neighborhood’s familiar hum.

While seating is sparse—or more accurately, non-existent—many find it part of the charm to enjoy their meal nearby, whether in the car or on a park bench down the street. The food here is known for its generous portions and comforting taste that often surpasses expectations, making every visit feel like a quiet celebration of authentic flavors.

De Guzman Oriental Food Mart stands as a small but vital thread in Orlando’s vibrant community fabric—a place where the essence of Filipino home cooking and Asian pantry staples come together in a genuinely approachable, unpretentious setting.

To go food with a couple of entrees only to choose from (menu changes I guess). Anyway, whatever they have is always really good, better than some of the Filipino restaurants I’ve been to…

It's soooo much food. The taste was pretty good. Everyone liked it. They have a huge menu with many popular Filipino dishes. I can't wait to try the desserts. The only thing I don't like is that there are no prices listed and everything requires you to call. It would also be nice to see how many people could be feed by a tray on average. Overall it's a great place.

Came here for lunch with a friend. No place to sit, so we sat in her car and enjoyed some Filipino food. I had the chicken adobo and a beef dish, both of which I enjoyed thoroughly. Also a great little market for Filipino and other Asian goods.
